In the Light is a unique and powerful bereavement support group that will provide an intimate look into the treasures (promises) found in the written Word of God and how they can renew your mind and help to carry you through the lonely sea of grief.
Bereavement is a Life Long Journey—we must learn to carry-on, not move on. When we carry-on, we will learn to bring our loved one(s) with us to our new—sort-of—normal. We will talk about these dear ones and let others do the same. It will never be the same without them, but we must do the hard work of bereavement in order to resolve our grief and find acceptance in our loss. If we cry, it’s okay, we heal through our tears…
You have taken account of my wanderings;
Put my tears in Your bottle.
Are they not in Your book? Psalm 56:8
As grieving the loss of a loved one is a process; we meet together to help each other work through that process. We have found that sharing with others who grieve, can be very powerful! Bereavement is the hardest work we have to do on planet earth. We believe this to be the plain and simple truth. We were not meant to have to say, Goodbye—though we believe it is simply—Goodbye for now! The HOPE that we receive in the Holy Scriptures assures us of this.
